How to save money on textbooks?

No matter in which country you study, where you go to university - the U.S, Australia, the UK, Germany, South Korea - we can all agree that textbooks are really expensive. It's as if the publishers are enjoying seeing the last dime disappear from a student's pocket or they are in cahoots with loan backers so that we can get deeper in debt for the sake of our education.

Most professors require students to purchase a textbook (or several!) for a class, even if the book wouldn't be used for more than few chapters, so there is no going around that. But what we can do, is to share our tips on how to save money on textbooks!

How to save money then?

Well obviously you do have the option of using second hand book websites (not difficult to Google), but because the students who purchased the book in the first place paid a lot for their books, this way doesn't save you much money since the price is likely to still be around 70%-80% of the original price.

One way to get a book for free is to go the library and get the book from there! So easy!! Or....? Unfortunately you probably weren't the first one to think of this and most likely the particular book you wanted is already out on loan and there are dozens of people already in the queue to get it next. In addition, if you are lucky enough to get the book from the shelf, you can't highlight, underline or do anything to the book! So frustrating isn't it...

But hey, aren't we living the digital time?? Everyone has an iPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab, or Kindle Fire. If not, they have a smart phone! Maybe even a Samsung Galaxy Note 2/3/4/5 with a huge screen! And of course the big screened iPhone Air/ iPhone 6 is coming in September/October. Why not get the book as a PDF file and read on your device?!?!

Downloading PDF files of your book is a great way of not only saving money (as it can be free!) and if you want to have a physical copy of the book, printing will be cheaper for sure than buying the whole book!

This Texbooking -site is for you to find PDF files of textbooks. Even if you aren't enrolled in university, why not read up something that interests you!

If you have a particular book you just can't seem to find, email at textbooking0@gmail.com and we will look it up for you! You can also just leave a comment underneath this post.

From students to students! Let's go!
